We aim to maximize efficiency both at home and at the doctor’s office by keeping records accessible at all times to patients and their providers. Healthcare interoperability shouldn’t be just an idea, it should be a foundation for modern health practices, streamlined workflow, and structured care. This is our purpose and the future we envision.

MANAGEMENT
Selam Negusse, M.D., D. PH
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Dr. Negusse has been in the healthcare industry for over 30+ years. Dr. Negusse understands the inner working of the healthcare system in multifaceted ways, first as a pharmacist then as a medical doctor. Upon graduating from medical school, she started in a family medicine residency for one year at St Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, and a cancer specialist from 2007-present. After her radiation oncology residency, she located to the small town of Muskogee, OK, to work as an oncologist. As a medical director for St. Francis Health Systems Cancer Center, Dr. Negusse sees the problem at hand from the forefront and is passionate about medicine and improving patient care.
Doug Welch
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Mr. Welch has been in the software and cyber security systems for over 30 years. As a veteran in the computer industry, having served as a key contributor in operating systems, software security, and software globalization for various companies from small startups to large corporations like IBM he has led teams internationally in software management. Mr. Welch has significant experience iin web based and internet applications and has worked in both senior business development and engineering roles. While at IBM, he patented a process for accessing specific portions of documents on a network environment. Mr. Welch has been part of major acquisitions and IPOs during his career. He holds an MS and BS from the University of California.
Joseph Dye
Sales

Mr. Dye is MedicalBlox’ Director of Sales. After joining the team in early 2024, Mr. Dye focuses on outside sales and patient onboarding strategies. Mr. Dye studied Health Services Administration at Ohio University, and has been a business to business outside sales professional in various industries ever since. He lives in Oklahoma City and has a wife and 3-year-old daughter. He enjoys spending free time tinkering with computers, watches, and computer peripherals; and spending time with his family.
Carl Tokita
Business Operations

Karl Tokita has worked in the Orange County (CA) medical community for over 20 years. He was a founding member and current Chief Operations Officer of KSK Medical, a private provider of cancer, advanced imaging, neurology, and outpatient surgical services. He also works with several local charities including as an alumni board member for UC Irvine, a board member for Team Kids, and as an emeritus board member for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation.
Armond Q. Welch
Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder

Armond has worked in the healthcare as a medical scribe for 5+ years for and has been involved in a variety of software projects and has substantial experience in blockchain and databases development. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
